We love a good stir fry in our house. All of these ingredients are staples in my home so it's super easy to throw together with a short cooking time. The sauce is delicious and the flank steak is so tender it melts in your mouth. No need to order out you can create this Chinese staple right in your own kitchen.
Ingredients
- For the Marinade:
- 2 tablespoon vegetable oil (leave 1 tablespoon to cook meat)
- 1 pound flank steak cut against the grain in bite size pieces
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon light soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon minced ginger
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon dark soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon all purpose seasoning
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- For the Sauce:
- 1/3 cup chicken stock
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon light soy sauce
- 2 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- Vegetables:
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 medium onion chopped
- 1 red pepper chopped
- 1 green pepper chopped
Directions
- Step 1 Mix all marinade ingredients together and marinate meat for 20-30 minutes prior to cooking.
- Step 2 Place wok on high heat, add tablespoon of oil. When wok is hot, add meat and sear for about 5 minutes or until lightly browned. Transfer meat to a bowl and set aside.
- Step 3 Add remaining oil to wok on high heat and cook vegetables for 1-2 minutes leaving a little crunch.
- Step 4 Mix sauce ingredients well and add to the vegetables. Stir until it starts to thicken and add meat. Combine well and remove wok from heat.
- Step 5 Serve with rice and enjoy!
